Those are the words of one of my first clients who often corrected the web or marketing copy I’d send over in very unexpected ways. She’d pick the strangest word choices and replace some of the most common phrases.
She made it weird. 🤪
Why? 👉 Because her buyers were weird, and they shared that weird language.
As marketers, we *have* to learn the language our customers are using or they’ll see through us right away.
Get to know your personas in way that the word “persona” doesn’t even begin to explain. Get to know the humans, the culture, the “weird.”
